Camp Operations Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Camp Operations Coordinator is a leadership position responsible for managing all aspects of daily camp site operations. The Camp Operations Coordinator will report to senior management and work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and productive environment and good coordination of camp facilities and camp projects. This is a full-time, seasonal position for the 2026 exploration season, approximately June to October.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all camp activities at the project camp site, including logistics, maintenance and general day-to-day operation and organization of the facilities.
- Management and scheduling of camp/operational helpers, trades people and fueling.
- Orientation and camp-related task training for incoming employees and contractors.
- Supervise and organize camp start up and break down.
- Camp-related logistics, including procurement, personnel and contractor tracking, assignment and tracking of housing and vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on camp infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and inventories.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to camp facilities and equipment.
- Act as Incident Command while on site and provide overnight first aid coverage at site
- Develop and implement communication methods and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations including flight following.
- Manage camp staff and contractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns promptly.
- Monitor and communicate access road and weather conditions as work and travel needs require.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
- Assist by contributing to Constantine’s monthly report on activities at the end of each month.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or life experience preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role; preferably in exploration or mining.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of camp management and maintenance support, preferably in remote or wilderness settings.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve goals.
- Ability to work independently, manage a team, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and contractors.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor as required.
- Good computer and IT skills; including Microsoft Office.
- Proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Mindset that factors personnel safety, environmental protection, and community commitment into every decision and action.
- Valid driver license with clean driving record.
- Valid standard first aid certificate is a plus.
- All new employees must pass a background check.
Schedule:
Work hours generally begin at 7:00 AM. Schedule and rotations to be discussed.
Pay Rate:
We offer a competitive salary structure dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Location:
Palmer Project Camp near Haines, Alaska during the field season. Camp accommodation and meals are provided. Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
