Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on camp infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and inventories.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to camp facilities and equipment.
• Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, relevant technical or trade qualifications are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of camp maintenance support, preferably in remote or wilderness settings.
• Ability to work independently, manage a team, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and contractors.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor as required.
• Proactive and collaborative attitude, committed to working in a team environment based on respect, trust and accountability in pursuing shared goals.
• Mindset that factors personnel safety, environmental protection, and community commitment into every decision and action.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• All employees must pass a background check and drug test.
• Valid standard first aid certification a plus but not required.
Schedule:
Work hours generally begin at 7:00 AM. Schedule and rotations to be discussed.
Pay Rate:
We offer a competitive salary structure dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Location:
Palmer Project Camp near Haines, Alaska. Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
